Students at Fenelon Falls Secondary School begin 30-hours of hunger
Students at Fenelon Falls Secondary School are going hungry for 30 hours this Friday and Saturday to raise money for foster children across the globe. Students at the school have been fundraising for foster children every year since the late 1960s. Fenelon Falls Secondary School currently supports 32 foster children in over 20 countries around the world. This is the largest number of foster children supported by any school in North America. Students are hoping to set a record this Friday by raising $10,000. Principal Mark Cossarin says the "30 hour hunger" is a powerful way for students to understand what it means to live with poverty.
